Do the 'quick run' mentioned in that page. Find Node[0x19] on the left hand side pane and click it. Look under "widget control" on the Right hand side pane. Change VREF's value from whatever it is to HIZ. This has worked for me and others who have commented here. ** Description changed: There is no sound by default and I have added the ubuntu-audio-dev ppa to my package sources and have the latest packages and still there is no sound. My guess is the card is recognized. I have tried adding "options snd-hda-intel model=basic" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa_base.conf to no avail.
