While we're on the subject (I am not sure its appropriate here but nm)
but it would be nice, when the network adapter is in DHCP mode, if it
displayed the IP it was allocated (and netmask/gateway) in the IP
Address boxes.  In a light grey probably so it doesn't look like its
editable but just for informational puposes as it is one of the first
places people come to look for that information (I did anyway) and the
alternate ways of finding ip info (bash->ifconfig, and the network
toolbar icon) are not always easily discoverable.
