I have installed 2.6.34-9999-generic (mainline kernel).
Error 1:
When pressing control-alt-F1 on gnome desktop.
The desktop switches to a black screen. Other than expected, no terminal is
shown.
control-alt-F7:
It switches back to normal gnome desktop
Error 2:
The recognized screen resolution does not match.
1024 x 768 at 0 Hz (see screenshot)
800 x 600 at 61 Hz
In reality many other and including much higher screen resolutions are
supported.
Note:
- When using 2.6.32-19-generic both errors Error 1 and Error 2 do not appear.
- Please note that this Error 1: is closely related to bug "437437 the screen
did not change temporarily to a text console".
