Similar thing is happening to me in 10.04 Beta 1 starting tonight. I had a CD in the drive, ripped it no problem. Ejected the CD, put in another and it was not detected. I can still see my drive listed in Computer as HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH22NS50, but even after restarting several times it will not mount anything I put in the drive. I've tried issuing the command to mount it, no luck. I have all current updates on Beta 1... is there a problem here from a recent update???
