I've made an effort to fix this in casper 1.231 (not yet uploaded,
probably post-beta-2), but I'm not sure it will cover everything so I'm
not closing the bug yet. Feedback welcome once this lands.
* Cache /bin/plymouth and /sbin/usplash_write before ejecting the CD, in
the hope that that helps with I/O errors on reboot (see LP #539027).
