This may be a stupid question, but since Ubuntu sees only 1 hard drive,
could it be that there really is only 1 hard drive, since Windows
recognizes different partitions and displays them as separate drives,
i.e. is there physically 2 hard drives in the machine and have you ever
checked this?

** Summary changed:

- Ubunto not recognizing second hard drive
+ SATA drive not recognized

** Package changed: ubuntu => linux (Ubuntu)
