Public bug reported: Binary package hint: telepathy-mission-control
When joining a chatroom over telepathy-gabble (XMPP), mission-control might time out before you received an answer from the server. The effect is that… nothing happens! You keep trying to join the chatroom, the log even say you start being connected but no windows appears. This is especially visible when using gateway such as the XMPP- IRC gateway. This problem has been acknowledged and fixed upstream by simply increasing the timeout : http://git.collabora.co.uk/?p=telepathy-mission-control.git;a=commitdiff;h=34eabb1752fbe705a73339eb0d959f140a63d9cf I hope to see that fix in Lucid as it's currently very painful to use chatroom with empathy (your success rate might vary with your configuration and your connection rate) ** Affects: telepathy-mission-control (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: telepathy-mission-control-5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: telepathy-mission-control-5 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: telepathy-mission-control (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- telepathy mission-control might timeout too early when joining a chatroom https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/557884 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
