Thanks for the reply John. Can you test this with the latest Live CD of
Lucid (beta 2 later today hopefully) and let us know if both hard drives
show in 'Computer' and also by doing 'sudo fdisk -l'. If they don't both
show up, then two things will need to be done:

1) Run 'apport-collect 272360' and allow it to 'Change Anything' so it will 
upload debugging information automatically to this bug report.
2) The Mainline kernel will need to be installed and tested, full instructions 
are at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelTeam/MainlineBuilds <-- this is the Kernel 
Team's Policy to test if it has been fixed in the latest mainline kernel.

Since you are using Karmic 9.10 there should be no problems with the
Mainline Kernel.

Of course, if both of the hard drives show up, then this has already
been fixed in Lucid :)
