Regarding:
<merge key="input.x11_options.SHMConfig" type="string">on</merge>
Turning on SHMConfig is a securty vulnerability. Though I don't know how
serious the vulnerability is, it is wise to only turn it on temporarily.
Besides AFAIK the .fdi files in /etc/hal/fdi/policy/, due to the removal
of hal I presume, no longer have any effect in lucid (in ubuntu and
xubuntu 10.04 anyway).
