Thank you Daniel. Ok, here are the exact steps from command line to do what Daniel suggests:
Ensure the system is up to date (as this is Lucid, there are constant updates): 1) sudo apt-get update 2) sudo apt-get upgrade 3) Reboot (if needed - mostly when kernel updates happen) Then: 1) Add the Ubuntu Audio dev PPA: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev 2) Install l-a-d-m from Audio dev PPA: sudo apt-get install linux-alsa-driver-modules-$(uname -r) Daniel, do you prefer output from http://www.alsa-project.org/alsa- info.sh or can we do an apport-collect 555978 instead ? Let me know what's best for you. MBHAKM, you should be able to complete the above and test again - please wait for Daniel's response before submitting any more information. -- Internal microphone doesn't work - Vostro Notebook 2510 - Intel HDA ALC268 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/555978 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
