I used bootchart with the 45 second delay disabled, so I think it stops before KDM auto-login.
The full boot to desktop is faster with ureadahead enabled. However, I am frustrated that some updates to other packages have resulted in ureadahead taking an extra 10 seconds or so to do its business. Is this a fragmentation issue? The result is that discounting KDM to desktop, my boot times are generally faster without ureadahead or when it is reprofiling. ** Attachment added: "bootchart with ureadahead" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/43582299/pepe-laptop-lucid-20100402-13.png -- Boot speed increased from 30s to 50s when ureadahead enabled https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/552165 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
