Binary package hint: mythtv
By default the audio output is set to '/dev/dsp' and the mixer is set to
'/dev/mixer'. These settings don't seem to work well on a default Ubuntu
install. The sound works intermittently for me but the volume control
doesn't work at all.
I suggest that it might be better to default to using ALSA. Defaults
would then be 'ALSA:default' for the audio output and 'default' for the
mixer. These work well for me on a recent install of Feisty (herd5).
