Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kpackagekit

I have KDe running on my laptop and am frequently connected to the
internet using a 3g connection. Additionally, I have software installed
from a couple of PPAs like Virtualbox, chromium, etc.

In gnome update-manager, I could see how big each update was and if
something like Virtualbox had a 40mb update, I could choose not to take
it up, till I had a better (less expensive) connectivity.

This will be a big boost to usability and easier on my wallet if you
could please add this in.

thanks!
