The change i made to the output.conf is so my subwoofer on my laptop is not always on full blast, and actually goes up and down with the volume by setting master and lfe to ignore, and having the volume buttons just control pcm, which i have been using this ghetto trick since i started using jaunty. here is a copy of my analog-output.conf
