I had the same problem with lucid. Shouldn't plymouth and lvm2 also
depends on initramfs-tools? This is the output of the script:

bcmwl-kernel-source
fuse-utils
lvm2
plymouth-theme-fade-in
plymouth-theme-kubuntu-logo
