Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: language-selector
On an English Ubuntu system, I installed an additional language (as
administrator).
When logged on as a different user, using gnome-language-selector
allowed me to select to the other language, but after logging in again,
the desktop was still in English.
As a workaround I added these exports to the .profile:
export LANG=
export LANGUAGE=
export GDM_LANG=
export GDM_KEYBOARD_LAYOUT=
and the desktop is now running in the other language.
