Since Feisty is just around the corner, I have decided to wait for
Feisty. (Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I have spent little
time on my computer since your last send.) I am hopping that the Feisty
ISO file will include a simple Upgrade Feature where Kubuntu and Ubuntu
can understand an installation is in existence and Upgrade on its own.
(If not in Feisty, sometime in the next 2 future Releases.) Or maybe
have an "Upgrade Current" as an option on the list that appears when the
CD is first launched. This would then handle the upgrade which would
look for updated drivers and correct the required file entries as needed
to. This is just to complex right now! It's causing thoughts of going
back to Microsoft. - Never mind I have not been able to get my nVidia
gForce4 Ti 4200 AGP 8x Video Card on a VT 8237 P.C.I. Bridge to work
properly. I cannot run OpenGL because the Drivers in the Repositories
crash the system and require complex command line knowledge to fix. I
ended up reloading the system some time ago and have lived without the
FULL functionality of the card ever since. Not wanting to revisit that
mess!

This is an old card and should have driver support built-in to Kubuntu,
especially since Linux Drivers are available at nVidia! There is to much
command line work and file editing to bother with with the drivers from
nVidia. I have also found many sources on this subject all cannot agree
and what needs changing in the files. Some have more changes than
others. No standard info so no installation. I am trying to get a
business rolling. I can't be spending my time with things that do not
work, require expertise I do not have to get to work, and/or require
System File edits.

I'm giving Kubuntu til the end of 2007 to demonstrate that it is on top
of these issues. If by then things have not improved, I will be forced
to go back to Microsoft with reluctance, but! out of the need to have
things working. I am a Photographer so Video matters! I am starting my
own business in photography and need working video.
