Binary package hint: upstart
I upgraded to Feisty some days ago and ended up with various problems
which made it unable to boot. It seems that upstart was not installed or
removed during the upgrade and was not re-installed in the various
updates I did after upgrading (chrooted from an old dapper CD as Feisty
didn't boot). After manually installing upstart everthing was fine...
