Ok - this blacklist file isn't present in the current version of the nouveau package, or in the versions that shipped in intrepid/jaunty/karmic. Did you install xserver-xorg-video-nouveau from a PPA or anything, previously? The current package changelog doesn't mention anything about this blacklist file.
Anyway, this is either a bug in xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (low because it at *most* affects users who were tracking the lucid alphas), or not a bug in the Ubuntu package. You should be able to get things back to normal by manually removing that file and re-running update-initramfs -u. ** Package changed: plymouth (Ubuntu) => xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-nouveau (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Low -- can't find framebuffer in initramfs (cryptsetup) with nouveau driver https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/551108 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
