No the bug doesn't occur until I burn the image. If I just insert the cd it ejects fine. I tried to make three iso image burns and with all of them the same bug occurred.
However I installed lucid lynx beta2 32 bit on my pc at home and I can't reproduce the bug here. I can try a fresh install on the laptop with formatting of partition before installation to see if the bug will still be present or if you have any other idea how to find out what is wrong...
