Apparently this bug affects an older 1GHz AMD TBird 256MB NVIDIA G-Force 2MX400 (nvidia legacy driver) USB1.1 desktop. The mouse would sometimes lose connectivity for no particular reason. Acer Aspire 1522Wlmi running openSUSE 10.2 AMD64 and the same model of mouse is not affected.
