Same for me, headet's shown under "Hardware", but not under "Output" or "Input". When I kill pulseaudio and start it again manually (either as shown under https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio/Log or by just typing "pulseaudio" or "nohup pulseaudio &") then the headset is also shown under "Output" and "Input" and works properly.
