[2nd try]. Sebastian, the steps to reproduce are as follows: 1. System->Preferences->Appearance; click any theme, then close the dialog 2. System->Preferences->Appearance; try to put the buttons back on the left side of window headers (you can't)
So, would you please try the above? If you CAN put the buttons back on the left side, while also restoring the blue-tinted(default) theme, then please post exactly what you did and I'll investigate (including re- installing to confirm first-time behavior).
