Dual boot Ubuntu 9.10 & Windows 7 on Dell Inspiron 14. Got crash icon. Error occurred when using synaptic to update all packages after install of Ubuntu on second partition on Laptop. Overwrote existing /etc/default/grub file with package maintainers version which uses timeout="10" vs original timeout=10. Previous reboots have failed due to Dell Local Backup application messing with MBR and grub link (according to other posts online). Haven't rebooted yet.
