The video driver installation failure you're reporting here is bug
559587 and a fix has been pushed few hours ago. Once it's available on
your local mirror that should fix your issue.
Regarding the audio bug, if not already done, could you please file a new
report. Press ALT+F2 and enter:
ubuntu-bug -p alsa-base
