SOUND_DAEMON=esd advises the thin client to start esd on boot, which
isnt installed anymore by default, we use pulseaudio now since it offers
a full virtual soundcard emulation through alsa. you need to either
install esound in the client environment or (recommended) omit
SOUND_DAEMON (defaults to pulse if unset). pulseaudio emulates esd as
well ...
