Omar, the statement you made see link below, is not correct. It fails to report the Kernel bug because the user is on an older kernel and can not report a bug on the updated kernel. It happens any time you try to report a bug on a kernel you are not booted into. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apport/+bug/527026/comments/3 This has nothing to do with installing* The only way to get the info needed onto bug report you need to file bug without apport/ubuntu-bug than run apport-collect bug#
dino99: This bug is not fixed yet, also didn't know there was a PPA for Apport or kernel But anyway, I'm not sure why you think apt-cache being updated is related to this bug report. Please read the description more carefully ** Summary changed: - Apport is unable to report a bug first time + Apport is unable to report a bug on a kernel that you are not booted into -- Apport is unable to report a bug on a kernel that you are not booted into https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/527026 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
