Hi Elly. Thanks for your bug report. Software-center installs kaffeine in the same way as the command described in the linked wiki page does. The kaffeine package itself provides a list of other packages that need to be installed at the same time and software-center just follows that list. The difference with the command in the wiki is that the command in the wiki also installs the 'libxine1-all-plugins' package. This is not currently in the list of packages that kaffeine depends on. I will mark this bug as effecting the kaffeine package, and hopefully someone there can decide whether the 'libxine1-all-plugins' package should be added to the list of dependencies.
