Public bug reported: Binary package hint: network-manager
This problem is also present in the previous 9.10 release. Just checked and it still behaves the same way in 10.04 beta. My Toshiba Tecra R10 comes with an internal 3G modem. It's recognised ok. But when I try to connect to the ISP it just fails with no other error. The problem might be that it forgets to ask for the PIN code. If I connect my Nokia phone with an USB cable it works just fine. Here are the logs. First the log of the failed attempt with internal modem. The the log of successful attempt with the Nokia phone. ========== FAILED ATTEMPT - INTERNAL MODEM =========== Apr 15 22:20:52 transalp NetworkManager: <info> Activation (usb0) starting connection 'TMN Default' Apr 15 22:20:52 transalp NetworkManager: <info> (usb0): device state change: 3 -> 4 (reason 0) Apr 15 22:20:52 transalp NetworkManager: <info> Activation (usb0) Stage 1 of 5 (Device Prepare) scheduled...
