I don't think that orange color was the best option for hyperlinks. In
web browsers, orange hyperlinks means a visited link, so the user might
be tempted to think that the GNOME desktop is behaving like a browser,
showing all hyperlinks as visited and confusing the user. Blue might be
a better solution.

However, on the other hand, orange hyperlinks shows great in the
navigation history list of the Firefox address bar (much better than
before, when it used blue links).
