16.04.10 I tried to update Ubuntu 9.10 to 10.4-b2. as described at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/lucid/beta2 "To upgrade from Ubuntu 9.10 on a server system: install the update-manager-core package if it is not already installed; edit /etc/update-manager/release-upgrades and set Prompt=normal; launch the upgrade tool with the command sudo do-release-upgrade -d; and follow the on-screen instructions. " below is part of upgrade output: --- 27 packages are going to be removed. 243 new packages are going to be installed. 1440 packages are going to be upgraded. Fetching and installing the upgrade can take several hours. Once the download has finished, the process cannot be cancelled.
