I'm still on Karmic. lspci reports my card reader as: 15:00.0 CardBus bridge: Ricoh Co Ltd RL5c476 II (rev ba) 15:00.1 FireWire (IEEE 1394): Ricoh Co Ltd R5C832 IEEE 1394 Controller (rev 04) 15:00.2 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev 21) 15:00.3 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C843 MMC Host Controller (rev ff) 15:00.4 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C592 Memory Stick Bus Host Adapter (rev 11) 15:00.5 System peripheral: Ricoh Co Ltd xD-Picture Card Controller (rev 11)
The card maps to /dev/mmcblk1, with a partition at /dev/mmcblk1p1. As soon as I add the card, I get the following messages in dmesg: [2355534.252903] mmcblk0: mmc0:a90b SD256 243 MiB (ro) [2355534.253021] mmcblk0: p1 Note the (ro) -- the kernel is reporting the card as read-only. I have verified that the lock switch is disabled, and that I get the same behavior regardless of its setting. -- SD card mounts as read-only https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/523533 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
