i have been meaning to ask about this for years. this is among the most
annoying failures of ubuntu desktop.  what it needs is an invisible
border surrounding the visible border that is grab-able, but that
doesn't screw up the cleanness of the themes effected by this issue...if
that makes sense. can't this just be added to the gconf-editor as an
option? a similar option exists for the gnome-panel when in auto-hide, i
think. i sort of can't believe this has been bothering me for so long
and i've not mentioned it anywhere until now...i suppose i always
imagined that such a obvious problem couldn't be widespread or it would
have been fixed by now.

please please fix this. thanks!
