I'm also using the same version of gwibber with ubuntu lucid beta 2 with updates applied today (17 April) and can't receive messages from Twitter. My message area isn't blank but only displays messages from 4 days ago. Using web access for twitter, I've received lots of messages but these are not displayed or not received by Gwibber. I am able to send messages though. The version of Gwibber-service is 2.30.0.1-0ubuntu1.
