I, too, tried to reproduce it - with little luck.
A kernel update has come out, as has my cluelessness! Since the problem
still (occasionally) appears and persists, I will see if I perhaps can
capture it on video and upload it on Youtube, for the sake of
clarification and mutual understanding. More words will likely bring
only confusion.
Expect a further reply within a week. :)
And oh, the kernel is now
" 2.6.32-21-generic ", as opposed to the
" 2.6.32-20 " when the bug report was originally
filed.
