There are some strings where either of these choices would be bad. That's why I support option (b) if it is feasible. E.g. Delete this file. (Trinti šį failą) Delete the following files. (Trinti šiuos failus) Stripping the 1st form would make the case n==1 clumsy. Stripping the second case would make cases n==23, 31, etc clumsy. So stripping either of them is at the best choosing the lesser evil. Such strings were the main reason why KDE S.C. Lithuanian translators did such intrusive change.
