Binary package hint: pm-utils

When going into suspend mode manually or through power management options and 
then trying to resume the screen goes blank and becoes unresponsive.
1) Description: Ubuntu 9.10

3) I expected the login screen to appear following suspension
4) The screen went blank and machine became unresponsive, I believe due to 
kernel panic. Attached is a screen shot showing output of pm-suspend run from a 
console terminal. This output is continous indefinitly. Require to switch off 
power to boot
