The master branch contains now a patch against this.
Listaller GTK+ modules should not hang anymore while executing PackageKit
actions.
Thanks for your bug report!
** Description changed:
If I try to remove package using Listaller Manager(Sumode), the
application hangs and has to be terminated.
-
- -------------------------------
- Developer comment:
- Listaller tries to execute
- pk_client_search_files_async() at this time. The command is processed by
packagekitd without any reaction, it neither throws an error message nor it
finishes the action.
- This does not happen if you use pkclient, but Listaller does not have this
problem on Fedora 12.
- This problem also does not appear if you use Listaller's Qt4 frontend, it
only happens with the GTK+ GUI. The issue also disappears, if you execute the
function directly inside a GTK+ application. (Listaller uses a library which
does all the work)
- If it would fail on Fedora too, I would consider this as Listaller bug, but
cause it does not, PackageKit may be affected too.
