Attached is a dkms package that will resolve the issue. This is a
solution to use until the linux-backports-modules-alsa-lucid-generic &
linux-backports-modules-alsa-lucid-generic-pae are updated to alsa
1.0.23.
You will need to:
apt-get install dkms patch
Then install dkms package. It will take about 4 minutes to install & add
4 minutes to the install of kernel updates. Can use with 10.04 Ubunutu
.. though should work with 9.10
