I don't know how to better describe this bug. The external monitor is just not working.
It is enabled in gnome-display-properties but the external monitor is still not receiving any signal and remains in standby. Since this is a hardware specific problem you will need an ATI x300 card to reproduce it. Since Hardy, where everthing was perfect, the video support for this card got worse with each release so maybe Lucid is not supposed to be running on this computer and I should stop my upgrades at Karmic where I can get 1024x768 or use Hardy where I can use the full 1600x1050 resolution. I have attached a screenshot of gnome-display-properties. Feel free to mark it as won't fix. ** Attachment added: "Captură-ecran.png" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/44825829/Captur%C4%83-ecran.png -- External display not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/533269 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
