There were various reports of this kind (inconsistent partition
numbering) in the old partitioner, which I never really got to the
bottom of. However, the new advanced partitioner in Feisty is
implemented completely differently and uses one piece of code throughout
to handle things like partition numbering, so I'm pretty sure that it no
longer suffers from this class of bugs.
