The Release Candidate (20100419) has broken the nomodeset-workaround.

be solved before the release of Lucid, will it?

Runs correctly and without any problem in VMWare.
MD5sum of the downloaded iso's were correct.
The fuzzy colors are always the same, not random.
  The Ubuntu-version has purple-brown colors.
  The Xubuntu-version has green-blue colors.
The Check-CD (both ubuntu/xubuntu) has gray colors.
I'm not entirely sure if it's a plymouth issue, but since I don't see any
form of splash-screen this was my best guess.
