Evan, I iso-tested the RC candidate yesterday, live session and four installation scenarios, and I have not been able to reproduce this bug.
Specifically I've booted pressing a key to enter the full "options" menu w/o this error, and also just sat and watched until offered the option to either "install" or "try" also w/o this error.
