On the one hand it's against the principle of DRY (on't Repeat Yourself) when *actually* having an editor like nano installed but with unncessary dependencies of vim in place, right? So in the past I crafted a blueprint about how to better handle dependencies. On the other hand I agree with Daniel Richard G. (post #6) who suggested to choose your favourite editor which can be done in several ways by the way. Since Colin Watson (post #4) mentioned the patch isn't acceptable I further ask myself whether the bug is vailid at all. Regarding the importance I think it is low.
