When trying a partial upgrade (libc6-dev only, as suggested by update
manager) the following dialogue (pls see attachment
"Screenshot-Untitled Window.png") was given.

In synoptic with "Broken" filter (pls see attachment
"Screenshot-Synaptic Package Manager .png") libc6-dev is marked "for
removal" (-> properties/common) (again pls see attacment
"Screenshot-Untitled Window-1.png"
