Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: modemmanager

Symptom:
Connection attempt fails after a few seconds.

Reason:
modem-manager fails to set the SIM PIN for Sony Ericsson PC300 device.
It sets the PIN automatically for most devices, but not for this one.

Either using wvdial with a mini configuration to set the pin only or manually
using minicom on the device.
