This is just a lintian warning, not an error, and I don't see a strong argument for making a big deal out of it. Putting architecture-dependent stuff in /usr/share is a problem for anyone who's really mounting /usr/share across multiple architectures, but putting architecture- independent stuff in /usr/lib does little worse than waste a bit of disk space on such systems, and anyone with setups like that probably has disk space to spare.
