Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Gnome panel 2.18 on feisty fails to un hide if compiz is used.
It comes up sometimes, but not all the time. I use Nvidia Geforce MX 4000.
I found that if I use metacity it works.
Please let me know if you need any logs or details.
