I have been getting this error while attempting the install:

"An error occurred while migrating data.  More details may be found in
/var/log/syslog.  The installation will continue, but some or all of the
documents and settings you requested may not have been transferred to
the installed system."

This happens just before configuring the hardware. I had noticed that
I'd not been asked if I wanted to migrate any settings. As I would
usually answer "no" to that, it's no big deal for me, but perhaps it
should be asking me for this.

I don't mind the "run-around"; it's all in a good cause.
