Public bug reported:

I'm running Feisty Fawn. Things were fine with kernel 2.6.20-11. When
I rebooted after yesterday's update with 2.6.20-12, the progress bar
gets about 5 pixels in and then stops. Rebooting in recovery mode, if
I have my Maxtor removable USB powered hard drive plugged in, the last
console message I get is:

[ 8.280000 ] sd0:0:0:0: Attached SCSI generic sg0 type 0

If I unplug the drive and reboot into 2.6.20-12's recovery mode, the
last line I get is:

[ 3.408000 ] drivers/usr/input/hid-core.c: V2.6: USB HID Core Driver

I can reboot into the 2.6.20-11 Kernel and run fine.

The laptop is a Dell D610, BIOS A06. The only thing I have plugged in
is a wireless mouse (Logitech). The Laptop has 1G memory and a 60G
hard drive.
